What to Expect When Visiting
Our history is in the “Restoration Movement.” Our goal is to look as much like the New Testament church as is possible in our time. We strive to be a Bible-centered church because we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We know our conclusions are not flawless and that our practices are sometimes colored by habit, preference, tradition, or convenience. Even so, we hold the Bible as our only guide in religious matters.
There are song books on the back of the pews. The music is usually projected on the screen at the front. One of the unique things about churches of Christ is that the music is acappella. That is, we sing without any accompaniment from musical instruments. Everyone is invited to participate.
Communion will be included in the worship service every Sunday. This is a time when Christians remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and a time to reflect, remember, and prioritize our lives around the loving sacrifice Jesus offered for us. We encourage all believers to participate with us in this meal, but it is entirely your choice. If you would rather not, feel free to just pass the plate to the person beside you. For those who have gluten allergies, we have a gluten free communion option available in a separate dish within the bread plate.
Plates will be passed to collect the weekly financial offering from our members, but as our guest, you are not expected to make a donation. Please feel comfortable in just passing the collection plate on down the row.
